This spot is next to the church Grote Kerk. You stand with your back to a parking lot (pay!) and behind that the Museum Hotel, which has a small collection of museum pieces.

Across from the church you’ll see a small chapel made of shells Schelpen-kapelletje. The square is called ’s-Gravenhof, which means court of the Duke.

When you walk past the statue in the picture, you will find the graphic museum Grafisch Museum on your right hand side.

Another place to park is on the Rozengracht – in front of the city museum Stedelijk Museum (with a lift) and from here you can reach some cosy little shopping streets in the neighbourhood.

On the waterfront IJsselkade is a lot of parking space and you will find the Waterwerk. A miniature sluice system where everybody can try out the works; it is in the open air.

Stedelijk Museum, Rozengracht: open Tuesday to Saturday from 11.00 – 17.00 hrs and in the weekend from 13.30 – 17.00 hrs.

Grafisch Museum, Kerkhof 16: open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 13.00 – 16.00 hrs., Saturday from 11.00 – 15.00 hrs.

Henriette Polak Museum, Zaadmarkt 88, does not have a lift and many small stairs; same opening hours as the Stedelijk Museum.
