STROLLING |
EPE:

|
Epe is a
very friendly village; only problem, to get where you want to be is
complicated because of all the one-way traffic. |
|
The
easiest way to park is at the parking-lot in front of the Town-Hall. This is parallel
to the high street, where you’ll find a very old-fashioned pancake house;
open every day from 11.30- 20.00 hrs, except on Sunday – from 13.00 – 20.00
hrs. |
|
|
|
In the
basement of the Town-Hall is a fire brigade museum, which has very limited
access for visitors and, with your back to the Town-Hall, following
the street on the right hand side, you will find the Klederdracht Museum with
traditional costumes and a herb-garden. |
|
To visit
the farm museum Museumboerderij “Hagedoorns Plaatse” you will have to look for a new parking
space. |
|
|
|
It is
also worth the trouble to make a trip to the small zoo Dierenpark Wissel –
some 10 minutes from Epe. Open every day from May to September from 9.30 –
18.00 hrs and from the first of September to the first of May from 10.00 –
17.00 hrs. |
|
|
|
Fire
brigade museum Brandweermuseum, Parkweg: only in July and August on Wednesday
morning from 10.00 – 12.00 hrs. |
|
Klederdrachtmuseum,
Markt 5: open first of May to first of November from Monday to Saturday from 13.30
– 16.30 hrs, closed in January, and
during the rest of the winter open on Tuesday and Saturday. |
|
Museumboerderij
“Hagedoorns Plaatse”, Ledderweg 11: from first of May to first of November
from Monday to Saturday from 13.30 – 16.30 hrs and in the months of July and
August also on Sunday. |
